Student Leadership

Students don't have to be school captains or house captains to be considered leaders.

We encourage our students to be leaders in the classroom and playground, through their support for other students, or their involvement in academic, sporting, cultural or community events and projects.

Student leadership opportunities

Roselea has an extensive student leadership program. Leadership skills are developed through:

  • Public speaking opportunities at assemblies, beginning in Kindergarten.
  • Buddies program where older students work with younger students on a variety of classroom and school initiatives.
  • Stage 3 leadership program, where specific leadership skills are taught to develop necessary skills for future years.
  • Year 6 leadership program where every student has a leadership role, and are given opportunities to create initiatives across the school.

Student representative council

The student representative council (SRC) is a committee made up of students from Years 2 to 6. These students meet regularly to discuss fundraising opportunities, school events and peer leadership.
